Balabyne

Balabyne in Ukrainian or Balabino in Russian. An urban-type settlement in Zapororozhskij rajon (district) of Zaporozhskaja oblast' (province) of Ukraine. The village named after the first owner, Major-General Ivan Balabin who received land here in 1777 and settled their his peasant serfs. First name - Petrovskoe - has been named after the son of landowner, Lieutenant Peter Balabin.
